Assignment of trade marks

This assignment of trade marks template can be used to effect the assignment (ie transfer of ownership) of registered trade marks and unregistered trade marks. The trade mark assignment incorporates a mechanism for specifying particular rights that are not included in the assignment.

If you are assigning a UK registered trade mark, you should record the assignment with the UKIPO using the designated form. Similarly, if you are assigning a trade mark registered in another jurisdiction, you will usually need to register the assignment with the trade mark authorities in that jurisdiction.
