PAYG services website terms and conditions

A paid service provided through a website may be made available for individual purchase under a pay-as-you-go (PAYG) model, and this document has been designed for just this type of service.

This document is based on our subscription website T&Cs document, and in many areas is identical to that document.

This is a fairly generic document, and makes few assumptions about the nature of the services to be provided. Customers may be consumers or businesses or a mixture of the two.  However, some caveats are in order:

• first, the terms and conditions are not designed to deal with the special regulatory issues and special legal risks that some services give rise to;
• second, the terms and conditions are not intended to cover services which consist of the making available for download of copyright works (but see our range of download T&Cs);
• third, as with all templates, the terms and conditions will need to be adapted to fit the particulars of your web application and business.

The document includes all the standard material from our general T&Cs documents. The standard clauses cover such matters as the use of the website and the material on the website; the proper operation of user accounts; the use of content provided by users, and users' assurances relating to such content; limitations of liability and disclaimers of warranties protecting the website operator; and statutory disclosures.
