These are standard terms and conditions for the provision of domestic cleaning services, balancing simplicity, legal protection for the service provider, and the need to comply with consumer protection legislation.
Despite its simplicity, the template does include some optional and alternative provisions. For instance, it allows that charges may be specifically agreed or calculated by reference to an hourly rate. It includes an optional right for customers to cancel scheduled visits, for example on 48 hours' notice. Payment may be required in advance or in arrears.
The domestic cleaning T&Cs may be used in relation to one-off jobs, ongoing cleaning contracts, or a mixture of the two.
This template is not suitable for use in relation to business customers, as it assumes all customers will benefit from the protections afforded by consumer protection law.
